Embracing Change with Willingness

There are those who are averse to change, and then there are individuals like me
who thrive on it. I squarely belong to the lager group. Throughout my life, I've
embarked on journeys that have led me to different homes, cities, countries,
continents, languages, and cultures. I didn't change my family or my husband,
but I did part ways with some pseudo-friends (or they parted ways with me),
holding onto the true gems among them.
This perpetual state of flux extends beyond mere successes. It's been marked by
numerous failures, countless tears, and a considerable amount of personal
growth. Constant adaptation demands a tremendous amount of energy. Some
people test their limits in the gym, conquer Everest, or delve into motorsports. I
choose to test my limits through life-altering changes.
In this transformative process, I've been fortunate to encounter remarkable
individuals who generously shared their wisdom and provided a some landing
during many a fall. Whenever I felt without a clear life purpose, I turned to
learning. I delved into subjects far removed from my initial training—subjects
such as Physics, Chemistry, Nutrition, Japanese Philosophy, Traditional Chinese
Medicine, Oriental Therapies, Sports, French, Korean, and Mandarin. Books
became my faithful companions, and audiobooks accompanied me on every step
of my journey through the cities I called home.
With this acquired knowledge, I've sought to shape my mind into a versable
toolbox. Wherever I venture, it travels with me, proving immensely useful. It has
served as my support and guide. Sometimes, when I look back, I ponder how
different I might be today if someone had guided me in constructing my
toolbox—someone who had extended a helping hand when I was lost.
For those who have collaborated with me, it's evident that sharing information
is second nature to me. When the desire to absorb knowledge is present,
information flows naturally. Understanding my origins and facing an uncertain
destination, I feel a responsibility to reach out and declare: Forge ahead!
Embrace change without fear! However, I also bear the responsibility of
imparing useful knowledge to ensure smoother adaptation and cushion the falls
along the way.
